The final round of auditions on ‘America’s Got Talent’ aired on July 1. Did they save the best acts for last? Read on to see who made the cut!

The sixth and final round of auditions are already over. After the July 1 show, America’s Got Talent will only get tougher. During the episode, Heidi Klum, Howard SternHowie Mandel and Mel B weren’t necessarily agreeing that every act should move on — but one judge did use their golden buzzer on a “ratchet” performance!

Magician Trusts Mel B With Staple Gun Against His Head

America’s Got Talent didn’t waste time making us cringe right off the bat!
The first contestant definitely had us on the edge of our seat. Rogue, a magician from New York City did an unusual (and dangerous!) trick with industrial sized staple guns. He used Mel B as his assistant, as he loaded one of the four staple guns and shook them inside a bag to mix them up. He called his trick “russian roulette using women’s intuition.” He trusted Mel to put each staple gun to his head and pull the trigger! Thankfully, she followed her intuition and all of the guns she chose were unloaded. The judges were so impressed – and a little freaked out – that they gave four yes votes.
Some of you may have recognized The Hudson Brothers from the crazy YouTube video “Ratchet Girl Anthem.” The comedic-rappers’ performed their internet-famous song wearing wigs and dressed up as girls. Although they were entertaining, not every judge loved them. But wait, just as we thought the ratchet rappers were going home — Howie pressed the golden buzzer and saved them! Who knew that an act who took the stage and shouted, “If you know somebody ratchet put your hands up!” would have moved on. We can’t wait to see what the Hudson brothers bring next time!
The next act was something the judges have never seen before. Loop Rawlins is a wild west performer, specifically in trick roping and rope spinning. He did crazy tricks with the rope and even set the rope on fire! It’s no surprise this isn’t the last time we’ll see this cowboy.

Beach Avenue: Amazing Band Plays Original Material

The first musical act of the night was the three-man band, Beach Avenue! They had a country-folk sound and were really talented. They will probably be remembered mostly because they did something that’s very rarely done during singing auditions — they played an original song! Looks like taking a risk worked out for them and these guys made it through.
Joe, a standup comedian and family man took the stage next, and he did not disappoint! He cracked jokes about his age and the fact that being a father requires a lot of “acting like you care when you don’t.” The comedian received a standing ovation from the crowd and received four yeses from the judges!

Wounded Warrior Makes Impression With Amazing Voice

Sal Gonzalez blew the crowd away twice! The first time when he revealed he lost his leg serving over in Iraq in 2004, and now wears a prosthetic leg. Then, when he started to sing “Ain’t No Sunshine” — seriously, his voice was soulful and amazing! Sal is definitely a shining star, and not surprisingly made it through!
Joe “The Birdman” took the stage next with his talking bird, Tika. It was impressive how much this parakeet knew — she even sang the nursery rhyme “Mockingbird.” The act, overall, was a little strange but it was cool to see how much the bird could say. The judges agreed they want to see the Birdman again!
A contestant from the 2009 season of AGT returns to the show and is back this time to take the whole thing! Kelly Glover got cut during the Vegas round previously and is determined to not have that happen again. We have a feeling that this time, she’s going to be in this competition for the long haul! Along with her amazing voice, Kelly put on an entertaining and emotional performance. She received a standing ovation from the judges and crowd, and will be moving on!

The Most Awkward Stand Up Comedian Ever

Derek Santos just might be the most awkward standup comedian the AGT stage has ever seen – but we’re thinking that’s on purpose. Derek’s awkward and dry sense of humor included jokes like, “I’m going bananas… Is what I tell my bananas when I leave the house.” Howie said Derek reminds him of himself and Derek will take his awkward jokes to the next round!
K. Lyn Baker revealed that when she sings she “feels like she can take over the world” — but we’re going to have to disagree. This secretary by day and karaoke singer by night, did not have the AGT million-dollar act voice. Her performance was kind of disappointing because she seemed like such a sweet person. In the end, K. Lyn will not continue on.
Ray Jessel, the 84-year-old singer, sang an original song on the piano. What the crowd thought was going to be a sweet song turned into a comedic song about a woman with a penis! The performance was nothing like we thought it was going to be — and we loved it. Howard claims he’s a “fresh of breath air” and Ray will be back next week.
