It was a moment of horror/sorrow after suspected herdsmen killed at least 30 persons including the Divisional Police Officer in Girei Local Government Area in Adamawa State on Sunday.
According to reports, the assailants ambushed a police team led by the CSP Okozie Okoriofor killing him and some police men.
Pictured are officials removing corpses and cleaning up the area after the bloody attack.
It was learnt that the invaders might have been on a revenge mission as there was a clash between farmers in the communities and some herdsmen recently.
