Lagos - Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) vice
president, Mike Umeh has described as sheer
desperation to hang on to power by Aminu Maigari-
led board the tenure extension granted to the
boards of Nigeria Women, National and Nationwide
leagues, SuperSport reports.
Maigari after its board executive meeting on
Tuesday in Abuja stated in a communique that the
boards of the Nigeria National League, Nigeria
Women's League and Nigeria Nationwide League
have two more years to go before their elections
having only come into office in January 2012.
However, available facts showed that the
aforementioned leagues board elections actually
took place in January 2011 at the Nicon Luxury
Hotels, Abuja.
The secretariat of the NFF suffered fire outbreak on
Wednesday with some major offices affected.
