Ljubljana - UEFA has cleared defender Efe Ambrose
to feature for Celtic in the Champions League
playoff against Maribor, DailyMail reports.
Ambrose was sent off in the 4-1 first leg defeat to
Legia Warsaw in the last qualifying round and was
suspended for the return at Murrayfield.
But it was unclear if the Nigeria international was to
serve a two match ban or just one.
UEFA has now confirmed that Ambrose has been
handed the all clear to play, as he will now fly out to
join his Celtic team-mates in Maribor on
Wednesday.
Celtic was reinstated into the champions league as
Legia’s 2-0 win was wiped out for fielding a
suspended player.
