The fun, glitzz, drama, razzmattazz, dribles, saves and
breathtaking goals of the most captivating and
entertaining league in the world, the English Premier
League return to the stable on Saturday, with
Mancheter United kicking off the 2014-2014 season,
with an home game against Swansea.
Mancheter United had a miserable 2013/2014
season, which resulted in the sack of Coach David
Moyes. Dutch tactician, Luis van Gaal has been
drafted in to tinker the English giants to winning way
again, with anxious Red Devil fans waiting to see
their team dismantle Swansea in the lnchtime kickoff
match at Old Trafford.
On the strength of what they saw in the pre-season,
where Red Devils were unbeaten, fans are seemingly
optimistic of a greast season under the guandance of
van Gaal.
With Wayne Rooney wearing the captain's armband,
expectations are high that the former Everton striker
will fire in the goals that will lift United to the
summit of the table, pending the outcomes of the
other six fixtures holding later today.
In other games, Everton will travel to face Leicester
City, QPR tackle Hull City, while Stoke City, parading
Eagles forward Osaze Odemwingie host Aston Villa at
the Brittania Stadium.
Osaze, who had a good performance for Nigeria at
the last World Cup in Brazil will be inching to lead
Stoke City’s attacking assault on Aston Villa.
The former Lille, CSKA Moscow and West Brom
forward, netted five times in 15 appearance for
Stoke City last term and will be raring to improve on
his goals record for Stoke.
Osaze’s former club West Brom host Sunderland,
Tottenham are on the road to battle West Ham while
Community Shield winners, Arsenal entertain Crystal
Palace at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal fans will be particularly keen to see if
Chilean striker Alexis Sanchez will score in his first
EPL match and lay the marker in the race of who
emerges the top scorer when the league ends next
year.
Chelsea fans however will have to wait till Monday,
before they travel to newly promoted Burnley.
