Reggae artiste, African China has said that Nigerians poor
patronage of his songs stems from their inability to
demand for quality music.
The singer who chatted with Punch recently also added
that Nigerians prefer to patronise mere party songs that
lack depth instead of the tunes that mirror the ills in the
society.
African China said, ‘‘I have been silent because Nigerians
have been so adamant to learn.
I am tired of representing them. I continue to make songs
that give the masses hope thereby denying myself of some
privileges but I don’t get motivated by them.
I know what I go through to stand with them. I am
unhappy with the Nigerian masses.’’
