Robin Thicke, 37, and Paula Patton, 38, have been inseparable for more than 20 years — until about 16 weeks ago. Robin spoke about the state of his relationship with Paula and losing the love of his life.“I try to keep most of that private, but, I haven’t seen her for four months,” Robin said. “If you’ve been together that long, you kinda became adults together instead of being adults and then meeting. But maybe a year or two off, we’ll become our own people without each other and then it will be meant to be.”
Robin goes on to say that the new album — his attempt to win Paula back — contains all the thoughts he had in his head after he and Paula split: “We just weren’t happy together anymore and I still had so much I wanted to apologize for, and things I wanted to take responsibility for, so that’s pretty much what the album’s about.”
Robin Thicke Slammed On Twitter
Paula isn’t the only one who’s tired of Robin.On July 1, the singer hosted an #AskThicke Twitter session to promote his album, but he was met with some harsh questions from fans about his relationship with Paula, his morals, and writing “Blurred Lines,” which one fan called a rape anthem. Despite negative reactions from fans though, Robin appeared to be in good spirits when he stepped out in New York later that day.
