He just released a hot new single, “New Flame,” he gave an epic performance at the BET Awards on June 29, AND most importantly, he’s finally a free man after his three-month stint in a Los Angeles jail!But when a video emerged of the singer being carried out of an LA night club following the BET Awards, many assumed the singer had been hard core boozing. However, a source close to Karrueche, 26, tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that that simply wasn’t the case.
“Chris doesn’t have an addictive personality and Karrueche thinks this was one of those instances where he got loose with his
boys after the awards show and turnt up a little,” our source reveals. “What he did was his business, and she isn’t worried in the least about him getting into trouble with alcohol.”

We’re told Karrueche went to extreme measures to rid Chris’ home of any temptation of alcohol prior to his release from jail on June 2.“He doesn’t even have alcohol at the house,” the source revealed. “When he was in jail, Kae cleaned his house from top to bottom and gave away all the unopened alcohol bottles as gifts months ago.”
In addition, the source explained that “Chris is living a smoke-free, alcohol-free life.”
“Everybody needs to chill and stop watching him like he’s some some sort of dignitary or head of fuc**ng state,” the source added. “He’s a grown a** man who’s trying to do the right thing day by day.”
